The health crisis has had a strong impact on the hotel and restaurant sector, however the potential for job offers remains.
The establishments of Guadeloupe are looking for waiters, kitchen assistants, receptionists… So many positions and profiles that the bosses are struggling to find.
Hence this initiative of the Pôle Empoi which is organizing this Thursday, May 5, a job dating whose objective is to place pre-selected job seekers, to allow employers to meet suitable profiles, to carry out a maximum of interviews in a short time, to have immediate feedback on the results of the interviews.
Today, about twenty companies – hotels and restaurants – from Gosier, Sainte-Anne and Saint-François will be present.
Many people, unemployed for several months, due to repeated closures, sanitary conditions, can apply again and thus find work.
If there is the will, what is lacking above all are qualified personnel. There is therefore a real need for training. And this is where the Pôle Emploi comes into play.
A hundred job offers are to be filled, this Thursday, at the Arawak hotel, in Gosier.
