The mystery still hangs. Since last spring, an excess of cases of severe and unexplained acute hepatitis have been reported. In the columns of Parisian, virologist Bruno Lina, doctor at the Hospices Civils de Lyon (Rhône), explains that the scientific community still cannot “see clearly”. At least “eight possible cases have been reported and four are being investigated by medical teams”, explains Public Health France in a press release, published on June 30.
