Tesla raises the price of its models (again)

Faced with soaring raw material costs and ongoing global supply chain issues, US electric car maker Tesla has raised the price of its vehicles again. Elon Musk’s company has thus increased the price of its long-range Model Y by 2,869 euros, bringing it to 69,771 euros. It is the Model X which undergoes the most significant increase, with a price of 110,110 euros increased today to 115,855 euros, an increase of more than 5,700 euros, according to information from the Electrek site.

After a year of price increases almost every month in 2021, Tesla had slowed the rapid rise in prices for its electric vehicles at the start of 2022, the American site indicates. The last major price increase was in March 2022, followed by a smaller one on long-range vehicles in April. In addition, Tesla would have a large order book with new requests for several of these models which will only be delivered in 6 to 12 months, Electrek specifies.
