Leclerc alone in the lead ahead of Verstappen, Hamilton and Gasly in difficulty… the driver classification after the Miami GP

Discover the new driver classification after Max Verstappen’s victory over Charles Leclerc at the Miami Grand Prix.

This Sunday concluded the 1st Grand Prix in history in Miami, the 5th of the season. A race that saw Max Verstappen win for the third time this season. The Dutchman finished three seconds ahead of Charles Leclerc, the only other winning driver since the start of the year.

In the drivers’ classification, the Monegasque remains alone in the lead with 106 points, he who has the most podiums this season (4). Max Verstappen, still 2nd, is getting closer after his victory with 85 points. Sergio Perez completes the podium ahead of George Russell and Carlos Sainz. Lewis Hamilton is 6th with 36 points and only one podium, one point ahead of his compatriot Lando Norris.

Esteban Ocon, 8th in the Miami Grand Prix, remains the highest ranked Frenchman. He is 9th with 24 points. Daniel Ricciardo is 11th, Pierre Gasly, the second Frenchman is 13th. Mick Schumacher (19th), Nico Hülkenberg (20th) and Nicholas Latifi (21st) are the only three drivers not to have scored a single point.

In the constructor standings, Ferrari leads with 157 points, just ahead of Red Bull with 151 points. Mercedes (95 points) completes the podium. Then come McLaren (46 points) and Alfa Romeo (31 points).
