According to the latest epidemiological point from the Regional Health Agency communicated on Friday June 24, the circulation of Covid-19 is accelerating in Charente-Maritime: the incidence rate has gone from 176 cases per 100,000 inhabitants to 381 cases in space. of three weeks.
This last rate, corresponding to week 24 (June 13-19), is however lower than the rate recorded at the scale of New Aquitaine (421 cases per 100,000 inhabitants).
In the same period, the positivity rate in Charente-Maritime rose from 16.2% to 26.6%.
The resumption of the virus concerns all age groups and all departments in the region. The highest rates are recorded in Corrèze, Landes and Haute-Vienne.
