How to remove your Facebook profile from Google results?

If you want to protect your privacy, you might not want your Facebook account to be visible on search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing… Good news, it’s possible! A short guide to improving the privacy of your profile.

Why be invisible on search engines?

When you type your name into Bing, Google or Yahoo, the results displayed are different and varied: Bac results, articles, but above all social network profiles. An embarrassing situation for those who want to maintain their privacy and remain relatively anonymous.

Whether you want to be invisible to your colleagues or simply to strengthen the confidentiality of your account, Facebook offers a simple solution to put in place to no longer be visible when your name is searched on a search engine.

Please note that disabling this option has no effect on social media posts and items with your name. In other words, Facebook can de-index your account, but does not take over your posts, rooms where you have been identified, etc. Making yourself invisible to search engines still strengthens the anonymity of your online profile, for an operation that won’t even take you a minute!
