The latest beta version of Google Maps for Android, with version number 11.28.0, includes a new feature that will allow you to choose your preferred mode of transport on each route.
One of the Google applications that we use the most in our day to day life is, without a doubt, Google Maps and for this reason the American giant usually updates its maps application from time to time so that it is not obsolete compared to other alternatives.
So, after recently updating its maps application with 5 new features, we have just learned, thanks to 9to5Google, that Google Maps has added a new feature that will make your routes easier: choosing your preferred transport.
Google Maps already lets you choose your preferred mode of transportation from the main app screen
Twitter user @GreenShades9 posted a tweet quoting 9to5Google in which he shared two screenshots of the latest beta version of Google Maps for Android, build number 11.28.0, in which you can see that the app Google Maps Google has a new interface through which you can choose your preferred means of transport on each route directly from the main screen of the application.

So, as you can see in the aforementioned tweet, which we leave you on these lines, with this new Google Maps update, whenever you plan a route, the directions and duration of said route will appear with the modes of transport which you previously marked as favorites in the sliding panel at the bottom.
Moreover, this new Google Maps interface also allows you to add or remove means of transport to your list of favorites simply by clicking on the Options button and checking or unchecking the star icon for each of the modes of transport.

At the moment this new version of Google Maps is only available for some users of the Android app beta and, as usually happens in these cases, this new function may remain a simple test or be implemented from generally for all users of the Google Maps application in the near future.
