Channel Conflict, Controversy: Microsoft, Kaseya-Datto, Google Cloud

There is always something to buzz about in the channel.

Forget the drama of the midterm elections. There are a lot of string conflicts and controversies involving Microsoft Kaseya and Datto, Google Cloud and Cisco.


New hires, changing channel schedules, security breaches, and mergers and acquisitions are typical Channel Futures fare. But there are also plenty of eye-opening controversies that draw you to the merit of water. There have been quite a few since our last Channel Conflict and Controversy Roundup in December.


The recent hubbub involves the sudden departure of Rodney Clark from Microsoft, partner shock over Kaseya’s acquisition of Datto, and Google Cloud losing its president and vice president of customer experience.

In addition, T-Mobile is again rocked by a cyber breach, declares Federal Communications Commission Kaspersky a national security threat, and recruiters admit bias against women in tech hiring.
