It’s not necessarily the most anticipated series on Apple TV + but it has something to intrigue. The streaming platform has just unveiled a first look at Surfacean eight-episode psychological thriller that will be released on July 29.
Surface, a fiction full of mystery
This fiction is created by Veronica West. This name may not mean much to you, but she has already distinguished herself for her work on the series. High Fidelity with Zoe Kravitz. The cast is also very solid, notably with Gugu Mbatha-Raw (The Morning Show) in the lead role. At his side, we find Oliver Jackson-Cohen (The Haunting of Hill House), Ari Graynor (I’m Dying Up Here), or François Arnaud (The Borgias).
On its website, Apple describes Surface as follows : ” Set in upscale San Francisco, Surface stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Sophie, a woman who has suffered a traumatic brain injury that caused her to lose much of her memory, likely as a result of a suicide attempt. »
And the streaming service to continue: “ Through twists and turns and an unexpected love triangle, this sexy, high-octane thriller asks the question: What if you woke up one day not knowing your own secrets? Surface is a story of self-discovery that asks whether we are pre-programmed to become who we are, or whether we choose our own identity. »
We will therefore wait until July 29 to get an idea of Surface. In the meantime, Apple TV+ subscribers can watch the excellent documentary series Prehistoric Planetwhich we told you about recently.
