Apple TV+: John Malkovich joins the cast of The New Look series

Last February, AppleTV+ announced the production of a new series called The New Look. This series is set in the Second World War and recounts the tribulations of fashion stars Coco Chanel and Christian Dior under Nazi occupation in Paris. We learn today that the famous American actor John Malkovich (Of Mice and Men, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, etc.), but also Emily Mortimer and Claes Bang have joined the cast from the Serie. Malkovich will play the role of Lucien Lelong, the director of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture.

The New Look has for showrunner Todd A. Kessler (Damages, Bloodline) and once is not custom, the production is almost entirely ensured by Apple Studios. Filming will take place entirely in Paris and the scenario will feature all the great fashion designers who were the great rivals of Chanel and Dior at the time (Balmain, Balenciaga, Givenchy, Pierre Cardin and Yves Saint Laurent, etc.). As a reminder, Juliette Binoche will play the role of Coco Chanel.
