Apple Stores offer Studio Display repair

Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Repair Centers are now able to repair the Studio Display instead of replacing the entire screen, according to a memo sent to employees and intercepted by MacRumors.

The change is in place this week. Employees can order the components needed to complete the repair of the Studio Display. Customers will therefore leave with their original model which has been repaired instead of having a different model.

Apple announced the Studio Display in March alongside the Mac Studio. This screen is 5K with a size of 27 inches. It packs a 12-megapixel webcam (with Frame Center system support), six speakers (with Spatial Audio support), a Thunderbolt 3 port, and three USB-C ports.

The basic model costs 1,749 euros. This includes the model with the adjustable tilt stand or the one with the VESA mounting kit. Those who want the model with the stand with tilt and height adjustments must shell out 2,209 euros. There is also a variant with nano-textured glass with prices of 1,999 euros and 2,549 euros.

The stock remains complicated for the Studio Display. Apple says a model ordered today won’t ship until August 4 at the earliest. The best is to turn to resellers who have stock. Darty announces a delivery for June 10 and a possibility of withdrawal in more than 50 stores. For its part, Fnac indicates that the screen is available in stock in some of its stores.
