A video aimed at developers has revealed the lack of a notch on the Apple brand’s next smartphone model.
The detail has not escaped the eye of discerning observers. In a video distributed this week during one of the various sessions of WWDC, a conference for Apple developers at its headquarters in Cupertino, the Apple firm slipped an image that confirms the rumors surrounding the design of the next iPhone 14. During the presentation of a new augmented reality app, appears (at 9 min 14 of the video) an updated version of Apple’s animation used to guide the user during the 3D mapping phase of the environment in which he finds himself. It shows an iPhone that does not look like the current version. The image shows a smartphone without a notch at the top of the screen, but with a new design.
As anticipated for several monthsthe front of future devices should display two new holes for facial recognition sensors Face ID and the front camera. These take the form of a pill and a hole. At least on the two high-end models, the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. According to rumors, the notch as we know it today on the iPhone 13 should indeed remain on the standard models of iPhone 14. All the new devices should be presented this fall, in September, according to the usual schedule of the American firm.
