Apple has just launched a new repair program for the 40mm Apple Watch Series 6. On “a very small percentage” of these models, Apple found that “screen may go blank permanently”. The affected models were manufactured between April and September 2021. Apple has implemented a serial number verification tool that allows you to verify if your Apple Watch is indeed eligible. If so, then you can request a free repair.
For repair, you have the choice between Apple Stores, Apple Authorized Service Centers, and Apple Support for mailing. This new program covers eligible models for two years after the product is first sold at retail.
